Have you brushed up on your Internet lingo lately? There’s “lol”, “omg”, and… “h/t”?
If you follow us on Twitter, you’ll see “h/t” a lot. So, what is it?

“h/t” is a virtual hat tip. On Twitter, we use it to give shoutouts to sources of the articles and tips we share.
More generally, it gives recognition to people who inspire and influence us. Giving credit where credit is due creates a community feeling of our online connections.
The next time someone inspires you, don’t forget to give them a “h/t”. :-)
